Safety and equipment

Safety on the farm

• On the farm we have polar dogs of the Samoyed breed. Please avoid entering the dog cage without permission and do not give the dogs food or treats. If you are staying in our cabins and are used to dogs, you can, by agreement with the host, borrow them on the trip.

• It is not permitted to be on the barn bridge, enter the stable, or approach the horses without permission, for reasons of horse health.

• Horses standing outside can be greeted after clarification with the host. It is possible to buy horse treats, but please do not feed the horses brought food, as this may affect their health.

Sleigh ride

• No age limit, everyone can participate.

• The activity involves risk, so it is important to follow the instructions given. Avoid throwing snowballs near the horses, running or screaming around them.

• Hands and legs must be kept inside the slips to avoid pinching. Take care of your personal belongings, as everything you bring is at your own risk.

• Take pictures, but never stand in the slough. Children cannot play in the sluffs.

• Allergies or food intolerances must be reported no later than three days before the booked activity.

• Groups of three or fewer may be asked to share a sled with another group.

Horseback riding

• We have 30 years of experience with guided horse riding tours.

• Horse riding is at your own risk, but we take safety seriously and have well-suited horses.

• The saddle can slip if you are not balanced, especially when riding in winter

• Avoid deviating from the path the guide is riding. Pregnant women are not recommended to ride.

• Please inform about physical or psychological challenges so that we can find suitable solutions.

• Age limit in summer is 10 years, and in winter it is 12 years. Pregnant women are not recommended to ride.

• Helmets are available, but you can use your own slalom helmet or bicycle helmet in winter. Riding vest is optional.

Clothing

• Winter: Dress in warm clothes, including your head, hands and feet. Use the layer-on-layer principle with wool on the inside.

• Summer: Wear long trousers and clothes according to the weather. Have wind and rain clothing available.
